Creating quality television programming demands passion, commitment and craft. Our award-winning television programs and series have touched the hearts and minds of viewers around the world. Rather than producing for the lowest common denominator, we strive to tell stories that are thoughtful, compelling , and that make a difference in who we are, how we think, and how we look at the world around us.

Here's a sampling of our efforts:

Inside the Cover:

A dramatic departure from typical television "book show" fare, this series has featured national authors (Jane Fonda, Dave Barry, John Dean and Lemony Snicket, to name a few) and best selling Colorado authors. Programs also showcase dramatic readings of great literature, review films based on novels, and offer book tips. Hosted by one of Denver's most popular rock and roll DJ's, KBCO's Bret Saunders, Inside the Cover received a Gold World Medal from the New York Festivals and a Telly Award.

Many are well-known newsmakers; some work behind the scenes and others are "up-and-comers." But all have demonstrated the passion, influence and energy to become PEOPLE TO WATCH. Hosted by veteran television journalist Bertha Lynn, the inaugural season garnered a Heartland Region Emmy Award as best interview series, as well as a Telly Award.

Partners Campaign:

When Rocky Mountain PBS wanted to encourage viewers to support public television without interrupting programming, they turned to Renaissance Media to develop a series of genre-related 30-second spots that combined comments from viewers with excerpts from popular public television programs. The spots were so well received, they were re-purposed to become general branding spots outside of "pledge season."

The Eclectics:

Exploring the world of ideas, this series has featured speakers on topics ranging from an Afghanistan to spirituals; from Sudan to the future of the University of Colorado. The series is broadcast by public television station, KBDI-TV in Denver.

Soldiers of the Summit:

This one-hour historical PBS documentary chronicles the exploits of World War II's 10th Mountain Infantry Division and their profound influence on the modern era of skiing and mountaineering in the U.S. The program blended original footage of 10th Mountain veterans with rare historical footage. Soldiers of the Summit broke records for fundraising for KRMA-TV. It was broadcast nationally on PBS, and was one of the most-watched single programs in many of the top markets the month it aired.

Spirit of the Mountains:

This international documentary explores the origins of skiing and mountain warfare, profiling mountain soldiers who though enemies during World Wars II, are brought together in friendship and peace by their common love of the mountains. Rare historical photos and film footage were combined with original footage shot on location in Italy, Germany, France and the U.S.
